Wheelchair Users Minding Their Own Business and Ending Up Going Viral
Ridiculously Photogenic Nude Wheelchair Guy
Xander Mozejewski is a master of social media, making his living by producing online-only commercials calibrated to go viral. Recently his personal life also went viral as he suddenly became known as the “ridiculously photogenic nude wheelchair guy.” What’d he do? He stripped on the Los Angeles freeway and then posted the pics on Instagram and Tumblr; they were picked up by Reddit and made the front page. He started an AMA, or, “ask me anything” on Reddit, where he was — of course — immediately asked if he can still have sex. He can, and says it helps that he has such a large penis.
His frankness and openness impresses some and puts off others. He’s brash, he’s young, he’s pretty sure he’s the first hot wheeler, and he is loving life. Here’s another question he was asked on Reddit:
Rayjirdeoxys: How do you manage to keep such a positive attitude through this?
Xanturd: Well, I’m hot, I have money, a sick car, lots of Nikes, dope friends, awesome ideas … what else do I need?
Keep living the dream, Xander.
Steampunked
Artist Noel Meyer steampunked her wheelchair and was completely unaware that the fashion site RebelsMarket had posted her photo on its Facebook page, from where it was widely shared. “Wow, thank you all for the appreciation of my art,” said Meyer, in the comments on the photo. “I’m a little overwhelmed now.”
Think of Him
Chris Hinds and a few other Arvada, Colo., residents with disabilities have allowed their photos to be used on signs saying, “Think of me, keep it free” that are posted below accessible parking signs. “When people park in a space they don’t necessarily need, they’re denying someone else’s ability to park there and it’s a matter of civil rights,” said Hinds, a para, on a local CBS newscast that, thanks to the power of social media, has been viewed on newsfeeds across the nation.
