The Evolution Training System is a simple yet versatile piece of workout equipment for wheelchair users. Its 3-foot-by-3-foot frame gives you many locations to attach workout bands and stabilize yourself for exercises from a variety of angles. Plus with a quick conversion, it doubles as a set of parallel bars that you can use for dips or seated pullups.

“It was always difficult for me to find ways to exercise at home. I hated tying resistance bands to doorknobs, table legs and other furniture. It just didn’t feel safe,” says Anthony Lue, a manual wheelchair user and product ambassador for fitness company EvolutionVN. “The Evolution is so simple in nature but allows me to train effectively and safely.”
The Evolution bundle includes everything you need for a complete workout, featuring a platform with four adjustable-height posts; parallel bars; five sets of bands totaling 170 pounds of resistance; wrist/ankle straps; two sets of handles; and a pad that can be attached to the bands for use with assisted pushups and other body-weight exercises. You can fold the workout station when it’s not in use, making it small enough to fit under a bed or in a closet.
The Evolution Training System is available for $679 and ships free throughout the U.S. For more information and to purchase, visit the EvolutionVN website. Please subscribe to our newsletter for an upcoming review of the Evolution by Michael Franz, a C5 quad.

The article gives a price of $599. Following the link to the website gives a price of $679. Feels like bait and switch. Not a good first impression.
Ben Clark’s December 2020 article, Wheelchair Workout on a Budget, has some really good ideas.

Thanks for posting this, and apologies for the pricing issue. There was a $599 price listed when we published, which must have been a sale price. You’re right, it has gone up to $679. We just updated the article with the current pricing. And we agree Ben’s article is great for anyone looking for inexpensive ways to get a quality workout!
Thanks!
the evolution does look really interesting: that’s why I followed the link in the first place! I especially like the small format parallel bars—those are clever.
Hi D Calvin! I am the owner of the company. Sorry for the confusion around the pricing. Yes, what you previously saw was a sale price. That being said, the new $679 you see is now inclusive of shipping (in the US)! I will make sure to have this corrected to avoid confusion – thanks for catching that.
