Motion Composites has released three new ergonomic handrims designed to help wheelchair users push more efficiently and avoid injury.

The Tour H is a 1 5/16-inch oval handrim that weighs 1.8 pounds. The Tour H features a black anodized rim with a wide silicone strip on the gripping surface. It’s is best for those with reduced hand function or those who need a larger pushing surface.

The Nova H is a 1 ¼-inch handrim that is slightly rounder than the Tour H but features the same black anodized rim with silicone gripping surface. The Nova H weighs 1.3 pounds and also is appropriate for those with reduced hand function or those who need a larger pushing surface.

For those looking for a smaller, lightweight handrim, the Optimum H is a 1 1/8-inch heart-shaped handrim that weighs 0.8 pounds. The Optimum H has a black anodized rim with an ergonomic thumb channel. It is best for those who have enough hand function to pinch their handrims and who want to reduce hand strain.

All models have mounting tabs that can be set to a narrow or standard position, and they’re all available in 22-, 24-, 25- or 26-inch sizes. For more information, visit Motion Composites
