Kenny Salvini looks behind the scenes for any signs of progress and finds that while current conditions are as bad as ever, there are glimmers of hope, including a recent rule that will require accessible restrooms and progress on seating solutions that could allow people to fly seated in their own wheelchairs.

All you have to do to nominate someone is send an email with one to three sentences explaining their recent contributions and track-record of service to others with mobility disabilities. Meet the Wheelchair User and TikTok Influencer Featured on the Latest Season of Queer Eye

The recently released Season 7 of the Netflix series Queer Eye features Ray “Speedy” Walker, who sustained a C8 spinal cord injury in a 2020 car accident and gained popularity sharing his story on TikTok. After being nominated for the show by his teachers, he spends a week with the Fab Five, the show’s stars, who give him a fashion and lifestyle makeover. The experience helps Walker find confidence in his new disabled identity.
