8 Long-term Paras Make Motor, Sensory Gains in Unique Study
A recently published study reports partial neurological recovery in eight complete paraplegics with injuries ranging from three to 13 years. The study combined movement, immersive virtual reality training and an EEG-controlled lower limb exoskeleton that provided tactile feedback to participants. All eight people experienced significant improvement in their ability to perceive sensation and exert voluntary motor control below the original SCI.
