Outrider USA’s new Coyote is an adaptive, electric off-road vehicle suitable for wheelchair users who enjoy hunting, fishing or exploring the backcountry. The Coyote has four wheels, semi-recumbent seating and hand controls, and comes standard with a 2,000-watt, two-wheel drive power train with independent suspension. It can be upgraded to a 3,000-watt, two-wheel drive power train with a live axle for sport applications and heavier riders. For those looking for a machine capable of managing everything from rocky streambeds to steep mountain trails, a 5,000-watt, four-wheel drive model with independent suspension is available.
The Coyote comes with a lithium-ion battery with a top range of 35 miles. You can add up to three additional battery packs for a maximum range of 140 miles. The Coyote has a maximum speed of 22 mph and is virtually silent and scent-free — ideal for hunters. It can be outfitted with a variety of adaptive options for users with disabilities, including hand controls with tri-pin adapters, harnesses, seatbelts and other postural support options.
Outrider makes each Coyote to order and ships worldwide. The base model of the Coyote costs $13,985. Financing options are available. For more information about the Coyote, please visit Outrider USA.

Awesome
Outrider has other longer range “bikes” too, that are part handcycle, part battery. AND, it recharges the battery if you use the hand pedals!! Plus it has a solar battery charger too. Really a cool piece of equipment whether you want the road bike or the off-road bike, fully auto or manual option included 🙂
One thing though, they don’t answer their emails 🙁
Hi Tuffy, I appreciate your compliments on our bikes. I’m sorry to hear about your experience with emailing us. We’ve had quite the influx of interest this spring, but it never should result in an unanswered email. I’m sorry to hear about that. Our best email is info@outriderusa.com, or feel free to call at 828-654-7555.
Thank you!
Tommy

Don’t see how you transfer in and out of the chair. Does some of the equipment move away? Is it a difficult transfer?
Hi BDB!
The handlebar folds down with a quick release to allow for an easier transfer in from a chair on the side of the Outrider. You can see this at 2:19 and 5:31 in the Youtube video above in the article to get a better look at it.
Cheers,
Tommy
