When I’m out and about after dark I make sure it is easy for drivers to see and avoid me — I have lights on my chair and a cool red flashing red collar for Killy, my German Shepherd service dog. There are a myriad of different wearable light options that increase visibility. Here are some easy-to-use, reasonably priced wearable lights:
One of the coolest options I’ve seen — and is on my “to order list” — is the Wunderglow, a tiny light that clips on under your chair and is available in a variety of colors. $25.
For a bit more of an impact, check out Spoke Lights, available at PimpMyChair.com. $24.95.
Amazon offers a wide array of lights for spokes starting around $5 per light.
I also wear a headlamp so I can see what’s in front of me. I’m about to replace my old one, once again I’m turning to Amazon for their wide variety of options starting around $19.95.
For keeping your K9 companion visible check out Light My Collar, prices start around $10. Also, there’s Glowdoggie LED dog collars that are a bit more pricey — around $52 — but use AA batteries, which are easy to replace.
Wishing you a safe fun and active holiday season and a safe, fun and a great 2015!
