New Mobility to Cease Regular Print Magazine

United Spinal Association announced it will cease publication of New Mobility’s bimonthly print magazine and its page-turning digital edition after the November/December 2024 issue — but we assure you this isn’t the end of New Mobility. We will continue to publish authentic content by and for wheelchair users, which has been NM’s hallmark for 35 years. What will be different is the way it’s delivered. Learn more.

Marriott Agrees to Improve Its Accessible-Room Reservation System

Booking an accessible room at a Marriott hotel is about to become easier. Under an agreement with the Department of Justice, Marriott will make several improvements to its accessible-room reservation system, including how it lists accessible rooms, keeps track of accessible-room inventory, and trains employees to handle accessible-room requests.

Yelp Boosts Its Accessible Search Options

Yelp is adding eight new search filters to help you find businesses with accessibility features meeting your needs. The new categories accommodate a variety of disabilities and include accessible parking, ADA-compliant restrooms, step-free entrances, Braille menus, sign language-proficient staff and more.
