Uro Concepts Underwear Offers Easy, Discreet Leg Bag Management

A new line of underwear aims to make managing and concealing a urinary leg bag a little easier. The Uro Urinary Suspensory System by Uro Concepts Inc. is for people looking for an alternative to straps for securing a leg bag. This unisex undergarment has pockets on both legs that securely hold a leg bag without causing strap-related pressure points, and outlets at the bottom of the legs to access the drain valve. The bag can be connected to various types of catheters including condom, Foley, suprapubic, ileal conduit and nephrostomy.

Uro Concepts Inc. founder Celeste Bonham designed the Uro Urinary Suspensory System to help her father manage incontinence due to prostate cancer. “I invented this product for my father to hold up his leg bag so it would not fall or disengage and cause him another embarrassing incident,” says Bonham. “At the time, I discovered many urology products were outdated and in dire need of making them more human-friendly.”

The Uro Urinary Suspensory System is available in sizes fitting waists from 28 inches to 50 inches. Each kit comes with one undergarment, two 600-milliliter leg bags and two 6-inch extension tubes. Each kit costs $46.50 and is eligible for Medicare reimbursement. For more information, visit Uro Concepts Inc
