Trakz Tub Sliders Offer an Accessible Way to Use a Standard Bathtub Shower

Raz Design’s new Trakz line offers two models of shower/commode chair-style seats attached to a rolling base. For shower transfers, a bridge connects the seat to a separate base anchored in a standard bathtub, and you slide across. Safety mechanisms keep the seat stable whether you’re rolling through the bathroom or sitting in the tub.

Applying for College as a Wheelchair User

Like many high school seniors, Anja Herrman spent much of the last year applying to colleges. But as a power wheelchair user, her experience differed from that of her peers. “Making four-year decisions based on ramps rather than sororities, and on pragmatic considerations instead of purely on possibilities, was frustrating to say the least,” she writes.
