Building an Accessible Fishing Pond 

Kary Wright has loved fly fishing ever since he was a kid, but as a power wheelchair user, finding an accessible lake wasn’t easy. In his latest column, Wright shows how he brought the water to his own backyard — creating a 1-acre trout pond, complete with an accessible dock. “Spending my morning on the dock has become one of my favorite pastimes,” he writes. “I’ll wheel down, drop some food into the water and enjoy a coffee while watching the trout rise.”
